An interesting game for BC Rakvere (14-7) which played road game in Rapla against one of their biggest challengers Rapla (11-10). Third ranked BC Rakvere had an easy win 84-59. The game was mostly controlled by BC Rakvere. Rapla was better in second period 20-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 16-of-19 charity shots (84.2 percent) during the game. BC Rakvere outrebounded Rapla 42-25 including a 35-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Latvian center Kaspars Cipruss (210-82, agency: Interperformances) had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 16 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and center Reinar Hallik (208-84) chipped in 19 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four BC Rakvere players scored in double figures. At the losing side the former international forward Andre Parn (200-77) responded with 10 points and swingman Janar Soo (199-91) scored 11 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. BC Rakvere maintains third position with 14-7 record having five points less than leader Tartu Ulikool. Rapla at the other side keeps the fourth place with ten games lost. BC Rakvere will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Rapla will play at home against Valga (#8) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
