Regular Season Round 21: HK Zory - AZS AWF K-ce 78-81

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked AZS AWF K-ce (14-7) edged on the road 9th ranked HK Zory (9-12) 81-78 on Saturday. HK Zory was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. AZS AWF K-ce made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 HK Zory turnovers. It was a good game for forward Kamil Nowak (196-88) who led his team to a victory with 34 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds. Guard Marcin Ecka (184-78) contributed with 13 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. AZS AWF K-ce's coach Miroslaw Stawowski used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Forward Lukasz Ochodek (195-82) answered with 18 points and 5 rebounds and the former international forward Miroslaw Frankowski (196-74) added 18 points in the effort for HK Zory. Four HK Zory players scored in double figures. AZS AWF K-ce moved-up to third place in Group B, which they share with Pogon Prudnik and WKK Obiekty. HK Zory at the other side keeps the ninth position with 12 games lost. AZS AWF K-ce will face Nysa Klodzko (#12) in Kloszko in the next round and are hoping to win another game. HK Zory will play on the road against MKS Skierniew. in Skierniewice and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
