Rather expected game in Malaga where 18th ranked Clinicas Rincon (4-21) was defeated by fifteenth ranked CB Tarragona 2017 (10-15) 69-63 on Saturday. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 20-10. But Clinicas Rincon won second period 15-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. CB Tarragona 2017 forced 25 Clinicas Rincon turnovers. Strangely Clinicas Rincon outrebounded CB Tarragona 2017 38-25 including 27 on the defensive glass. Power forward Roger Fornas (202-82) fired 12 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Guard Jorge Santana (193-90, agency: Beo Basket) chipped in 13 points and 6 steals. CB Tarragona 2017's coach Bernardo Alvarez used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bosnian center Ognen Kuzmin (215-90) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points, 15 rebounds and 7 blocks (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and center Maodo Nguirane (210-93) added 19 points and 10 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) respectively for lost side. CB Tarragona 2017 moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Mallorca. Clinicas Rincon at the other side stay dead last with 21 lost games.
