There was a minor upset when 6th ranked Unia Tarnow (10-9) was edged by eighth ranked Wisla AWF Kr. (9-10) in Krakow 70-69 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 8 points after three quarters before their 17-8 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Wisla AWF Kr. made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 26 Unia Tarnow turnovers and outrebounded them 35-23 including 21 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for the former international swingman Grzegorz Radwan (200-80) who saved his team from a defeat with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Pawel Czepczyk (202-90) contributed with 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Wisla AWF Kr.'s coach Dawid Mazur used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Forward Dawid Szewczyk (190-85) answered with 14 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and forward Przemyslaw Cygan (198-82) added 17 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Unia Tarnow. Wisla AWF Kr. moved-up to seventh place in Group C. Unia Tarnow at the other side keeps the sixth position with nine games lost. Wisla AWF Kr. will face Novum Lublin (#9) on the road in the next round.
