Regular Season Round 30: Laval - Concordia 67-51

There was a small surprise when fifth ranked Laval (7-9) beat second-best Concordia (8-8) in Quebec City 67-51 on Saturday. Laval had a 27-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for forward Sandrine Ducruc (183-88) who led her team to a victory with 19 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Marjorie Ferland (163-88) contributed with 12 points and 4 assists for the winners. Forward Anne-Marie Prophete (178) replied with 10 points and 5 rebounds and guard Ashley Clarke (165) added 7 points in the effort for Concordia. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Laval moved-up to third place, which they share with Bishop's and UQAM. Loser Concordia keeps the second position with eight games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
