Second Stage Round 2: Tsmoki-Minsk - Gorizont 54-81

Undefeated Minsk-2006 (1-1) recorded its first loss at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were rolled over by third ranked Gorizont (1-1) 81-54. It was a key game for the second position in League. The game without a history. Gorizont led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The best player for the winners was forward Nadzeya Nadzezhka (179-87) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. International center Viktoriya Hasper (193-88) chipped in 13 points and 9 rebounds. Five Gorizont players scored in double figures. Gorizont's coach Anatoly Buyalskiy felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international forward Viktoryia Pantsiukh (185-87) produced 9 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and power forward Volha Istseliatsova (189-88) added 8 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Defending champion left bottom position moving up to second place in League. Gorizont are looking forward to face league's leader Olimpia GrGAU in Grodno in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Minsk-2006 will play on the road against Berezina-RCOR in Borisovo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
