ACB top team - Regal FC Barcelona (18-3) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed eleventh ranked Baloncesto Fuenlabrada (10-11) 86-59. The game without a history. Regal FC Barcelona led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Regal FC Barcelona outrebounded Baloncesto Fuenlabrada 36-24 including a 27-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Baloncesto Fuenlabrada's players. It was a good game for Slovenian power forward Erazem Lorbek (209-84, college: Michigan St.) who led his team to a victory with 19 points. International guard Juan Carlos Navarro (192-80) contributed with 13 points for the winners. Four Regal FC Barcelona players scored in double figures. Senegalese center Michel Diouf (208-89) answered with 10 points and 7 rebounds and New Zealand guard Kirk Penney (196-80, college: Wisconsin) added 12 points in the effort for Baloncesto Fuenlabrada. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Regal FC Barcelona have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 18-3 record. Baloncesto Fuenlabrada at the other side dropped to the tenth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Assignia M. and Cajasol. Regal FC Barcelona are looking forward to face Gescrap BB (#7) in Bilbao in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Baloncesto Fuenlabrada will play at home against FIATC Joventut in Badalona and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
