JBL top team - Aishin Sea Horses (25-9) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they beat fifth ranked Tochigi Brex (15-19) 90-72. The guests trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 18 points. The former international point guard Shinsuke Kashiwagi (183-81) stepped up and scored 21 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and the former international power forward J.R. Sakuragi (206-76, college: UCLA) chipped in 11 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. American forward Ivan McFarlin (203-82, college: Oklahoma St.) responded with 18 points and 7 rebounds and the former international guard Yuta Tabuse (173-80, college: BYU-Hawaii) scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Aishin Sea Horses have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 25-9 record. Tochigi Brex lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with 19 games lost. Aishin Sea Horses will face Panasonic Trians (#4) in Osaka in the next round. Tochigi Brex will play on the road against Hitachi Sunrockers in Osaka and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
