Regular Season Round 40: Shiga L-Stars - Chiba Jets 100-101

The most exciting game of round 40 in the BJ League took place in Shiga. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of 5th ranked Shiga L-Stars (21-15) to eighth ranked Chiba Jets (13-21) 101-100 on Sunday evening. 24 personal fouls committed by Shiga L-Stars helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Jamel Staten (198-83, college: Minnesota St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 32 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists. The other American import guard Maurice Hargrow (193-83, college: Minnesota) contributed with 36 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American forward Ray Nixon (203-84, college: Wisconsin) replied with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 11 rebounds and Panamanian forward Dionisio Gomez Camargo (203-80, college: Arkansas) added 19 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Shiga L-Stars. Four Shiga L-Stars players scored in double figures. Chiba Jets moved-up to seventh place. Shiga L-Stars at the other side keep the fifth position with 15 games lost. Chiba Jets are looking forward to face Shinshu BW (#8) in Nagano in the next round. Shiga L-Stars will have a break next round.
