Eighth-ranked B.C. Habikaa (6-10) made lots of trouble for fifth ranked Ironi Ashkelon (10-7). Ironi Ashkelon managed to secure only two-point victory 87-85. However their fans expected easier game. It looked good early as B.C. Habikaa took an 11-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Ironi Ashkelon took control getting tie in the second period and winning the second half and eventually winning the game that evening by 2 points. Ironi Ashkelon forced 21 B.C. Habikaa turnovers. B.C. Habikaa was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for the former international guard Raviv Limonad (192-84) who led his team to a victory with 16 points, 9 assists and 5 steals. American power forward Marco Killingsworth (202-82, college: Indiana, agency: Interperformances) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. American guard Frank Robinson (193-84, college: CS Fullerton) replied with 18 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and his fellow American import power forward Rashaun Freeman (206-84, college: Massachusetts) added 21 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for B.C. Habikaa. Five Ironi Ashkelon and four B.C. Habikaa players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Ironi Ashkelon maintains fifth position with 10-7 record. B.C. Habikaa lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with ten games lost. Ironi Ashkelon will play against Bnei Hasharon (#10) in Hod Hasharon in the next round where they are favorite. B.C. Habikaa will play at home against Elitzur Netanya and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
