Regular Season Round 19: Centrum - Langhus 76-72

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Oslo: Centrum (#4) and Langhus IL (#8). Centrum (12-8) won against visiting Langhus IL (0-19) 76-72. The hosts trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 21-13 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Centrum outrebounded Langhus IL 41-29 including a 30-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. 24 personal fouls committed by Langhus IL helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for American-German forward Marco Sanders (202-79, college: Point Park) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international forward Frank Nyborg (197-83) helped adding 14 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side American point guard Terrance Randolph (180-71, college: Va Intermont) responded with 15 points and 6 rebounds and guard David Crouch (-86) scored 13 points and 9 rebounds. Four Langhus IL players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Centrum have a solid series of four victories in a row. Newly promoted Centrum maintains fourth place with 12-8 record. Langhus IL at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still closes the standings. Centrum will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Langhus IL's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Oslo Ammerud Bskt.
