Rather expected game in Ruvo di Puglia where 6th ranked Ruvo (3-23) was defeated by third ranked Ferentino (14-10) 78-73 on Sunday. Ruvo was trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 4-point lead after three quarters before a 20-11 charge of Ferentino, which allowed them to win the game. Ferentino outrebounded Ruvo 44-24 including a 30-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for forward Francesco Ihedioha (196-86) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds. Swingman Salvatore Parrillo (190-92) helped adding 15 points and 7 rebounds. Four Ferentino players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was power forward Frederic Emejuru (203-88) with 15 points and 7 rebounds and guard Davide Bonacini (190-90) scored 15 points and 4 assists. Ferentino maintains third place with 14-10 record having nine points less than leader Recanati. Ruvo lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 23 games lost. Ferentino will face Mazzeo San Severo (#4) at home in the next round. Ruvo will play against Fabriano and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
