Regular Season Round 21: Kings - Crocodiles 71-69

The most exciting game of round 21 in the NBL took place in Sydney. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 3rd placed Townsville Crocodiles (13-11) to seventh ranked Kings (9-14) 71-69 on Sunday evening. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. The former international center Julian Khazzouh (209-86) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds for the winners and naturalized Kazakhstan swingman Anatoly Bose (200-88, college: Nicholls St., agency: Priority Sports) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds. Four Kings players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was the former international forward Jacob Holmes (201-83) with 14 points and 9 rebounds and the former international center Luke Schenscher (216-82, college: Georgia Tech, agency: Priority Sports) scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. Kings maintains seventh place with 9-14 record. Townsville Crocodiles at the other side dropped to the fifth position with 11 games lost. Kings are looking forward to face higher ranked Gold Coast Blaze (#4) in Broadbeach in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Townsville Crocodiles will play at home against Melbourne Tigers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
