Important game to mention about took place in Solna. Third ranked Mark Basket (19-6) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging 4th placed Solna Vikings (17-8) 68-67 in the game for the third place. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Mark Basket outrebounded Solna Vikings 35-23 including 25 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for American guard Ashley Key (177-85, college: N.Carolina St.) who led her team to a victory scoring 23 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Her fellow American import guard Kristin Turk (172-89, college: Drake) helped adding 12 points and 4 assists. Mark Basket's coach Frank Alm allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The best for the losing side was American guard Celeste Hoewisch (170-87, college: Wisc.-Green Bay) with 15 points and 4 assists and Belgian guard Marjorie Carpreaux (165-87, agency: LBM Management) scored 7 points, 13 assists and 4 steals. Four Solna Vikings players scored in double figures. Mark Basket maintains third place in Group 1 with 19-6 record having four points less than leader Telge. Solna Vikings lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with eight games lost. Mark Basket will play against league's second-placed Northland in Lulea in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Solna Vikings will play at home against the league's leader Telge and hope to get back on the winning track.
