Damligan round 3 most important game was a victory of 08 Stockholm over 4th placed Visby Ladies 64-48 on Wednesday night. The game was mostly controlled by 08 Stockholm. Visby Ladies managed to win third quarter 14-9. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Visby Ladies to just 5 points in second quarter. 08 Stockholm held Visby Ladies to an opponent 24.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 45.5 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Visby Ladies 45-25 including a 32-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for guard Nathalie Fontaine (183-93) who led her team to a victory with 21 points and 9 rebounds. The former international forward Nina Risto (186-85) contributed with 12 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Guard Eva Hagg-Myntti (171-88) answered with 16 points and 5 rebounds and power forward Josefine Loob (182-90) added 4 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Visby Ladies. Visby Ladies' coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. 08 Stockholm maintains second place in Group 2 with 10-15 record having thirteen points less than leader Telge. Visby Ladies at the other side keep the fourth position with 16 games lost. They share it with Norrkoping. 08 Stockholm are looking forward to face Norrkoping Dolphins (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Visby Ladies will play against the league's leader Sallen in Uppsala and are hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
