Regular Season Round 33: Jamtland - Boras 76-80

No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Boras Basket (19-14) defeated on the road 9th ranked KFUM Jamtland (12-21) 80-76 on Friday. KFUM Jamtland was trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 25-18 charge of Boras Basket, which allowed them to win the game. They also forced 19 KFUM Jamtland turnovers. Lebanese-American guard Omar Krayem (185-86, college: Cal.Baptist, agency: Pro Management Agency) stepped up and scored 24 points and 5 assists for the winners and the former international center Michael Palm (208-79, college: W.Washington, agency: R.H.Consultancy) chipped in 16 points and 14 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American-Liberian power forward Boakai Lalugba (200-81, college: Bucknell, agency: Court Side) with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 16 rebounds and Lithuanian point guard Evaldas Zabas (188-88) scored 26 points and 8 rebounds. Four KFUM Jamtland players scored in double figures. Boras Basket moved-up to fourth place. Loser KFUM Jamtland keeps the ninth position with 21 games lost. Boras Basket will meet bottom-ranked Eco Orebro (#10) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. KFUM Jamtland will play against Solna Vikings and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
