The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Minsk: Minsk-2006 (#1) and BGUIR-RTI (#4). BGUIR-RTI was defeated at home 88-99 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. The game was mostly controlled by Minsk-2006. BGUIR-RTI managed to win third quarter 27-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 23-of-26 free shots (88.5 percent) during the game. Minsk-2006 forced 19 BGUIR-RTI turnovers. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Aliaksei Lashkevich (204-78) who scored 17 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). American forward Justin Knox (205-89, college: N.Carolina) chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds. Minsk-2006's coach Andrei Krivonos used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Evgeniy Sugoniako (198-92) produced 23 points and 7 rebounds and forward Aliaksandr Hrumiantsau (205-91) added 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) respectively for the hosts.
