Very predictable result when sixth ranked Lleida Basquet (16-10) won against at home 11th ranked Caceres 2016 (12-14) 69-65 on Friday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 11-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 69-65. American-Austrian guard Jason Detrick (198-80, college: Oklahoma, agency: Court Side) orchestrated the victory by scoring 26 points and 4 assists. Ivorian-American forward Jonathan Kale (203-85, college: Providence) contributed with 15 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Jose Angel Antelo (203-87) replied with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 15 rebounds and center Sergio Olmos (213-86, college: Temple) added 11 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Caceres 2016. Lleida Basquet moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Burgos and Navarra. Loser Caceres 2016 dropped to the thirteenth position with 14 games lost. Lleida Basquet will face Baloncesto Leon (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Caceres 2016 will play against Palencia Baloncesto and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
