Very expected game when 13th ranked Cravic Reus (7-14) was crushed on the road by sixth ranked Space Tanit Eivissa (12-9) 82-49 on Saturday. The game without a history. Space Tanit Eivissa led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Cravic Reus' 30. They outrebounded Cravic Reus 43-20 including a 34-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Point guard Juana Molina-Prados (170-91) scored 23 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Crista Ricketts (185-85, college: La Salle) chipped in 20 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four Space Tanit Eivissa players scored in double figures. At the losing side Senegalese forward Awa Doumbia (182-79) responded with 18 points and 7 rebounds and guard Estela Rubio (172-86) scored 17 points. Cravic Reus' coach Bernardo Rubio gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Space Tanit Eivissa moved-up to fifth place in Group B, which they share with Las Gaunas. Loser Cravic Reus keeps the thirteenth position with 14 games lost. Space Tanit Eivissa will face ASEFA Estudiantes (#9) in Madrid in the next round.
