Very important is a home loss of second ranked UL Eagles (11-10) against fourth ranked Belfast Star (4-16) on Saturday night. Host UL Eagles were defeated by Belfast Star in a tough game in Limerick 75-80. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of UL Eagles. Strangely UL Eagles outrebounded Belfast Star 41-25 including a 16-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. American forward Joshua Johnson (199-85, college: Bowie St.) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. British guard Scott Summersgill (173-71) contributed with 19 points for the winners. The former international center Jason Killeen (211-85, college: Augusta St., agency: JEMsports) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds and American guard Robert Taylor (188-83, college: Rider) added 11 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for UL Eagles. Four Belfast Star and five UL Eagles players scored in double figures. Belfast Star maintains fourth position with 4-16 record. UL Eagles at the other side dropped to the third place with ten games lost.
