The guests trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 85-83. SC Rist Wedel dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Noerdlingen's 36. They outrebounded Noerdlingen 40-29 including 27 on the defensive glass. American center Anthony Pettaway (203-87, college: Defiance) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds for the winners and forward Fabian Boeke (211-86, college: Washington St.) chipped in 22 points and 8 rebounds. SC Rist Wedel's coach Ozhan Gurel allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the losing side American guard Jason Jamerson (188-86, college: Grand Valley St.) responded with 27 points and forward Josef Eichler (200-87) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. Five Noerdlingen players scored in double figures.
