Regular Season Round 8: KKL - Pure Youth 60-80

SBL top team - Pure Youth (14-4) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed sixth ranked KKL (6-11) 80-60. The game was mostly controlled by Pure Youth. KKL was better in third quarter 23-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding KKL to just 6 points in first quarter. Pure Youth dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to KKL's 36. They outrebounded KKL 47-26 including a 35-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a quality performance of American power forward Quincy Davis (206-83, college: Tulane) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and the former international swingman Wen-Cheng Tsai (190-85) who added 13 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Forward Cheng Liu (192-90) responded with 25 points and 7 rebounds and center Wei Hou (196-88) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Pure Youth have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 14-4 record. Loser KKL keeps the sixth place with 11 games lost. Pure Youth will face Yulon Luxgen (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. KKL will play against Bank of Taiwan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
