There was no surprise when 3rd ranked Treviglio (16-11) was defeated on the road by first ranked Omegna (24-4) 81-71 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 9 points at the halftime before their 50-31 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Omegna dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Treviglio's 30. Omegna forced 21 Treviglio turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Daniele Casadei (199-81) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Paolo Paci (200-90) who added 17 points during the contest. At the losing side center Jacopo Borra (212-90) responded with 14 points and 9 rebounds and power forward Gabriele Zanella (204-81) scored 15 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Omegna maintains first position with 24-4 record. Loser Treviglio keeps the third place with 11 games lost. Omegna will face league's second-placed Torino on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Treviglio will play against Perugia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
