Very expected game in Sevilla where 16th ranked UCAM Murcia (6-16) was defeated by eleventh ranked Cajasol (11-11) 76-60 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Cajasol. UCAM Murcia was better in fourth quarter 20-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded UCAM Murcia 40-17 including a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. American center Paul Davis (211-84, college: Michigan St.) scored 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Italian-Argentinian guard Hernan Jasen (199-78) chipped in 11 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Nigerian-American swingman Ime Udoka (196-77, college: Portland St., agency: Priority Sports) responded with 15 points and 4 steals and Australian forward David Barlow (205-83, college: Metro St.) scored 8 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Cajasol moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted UCAM Murcia keeps the sixteenth position with 16 games lost. Cajasol will face league's leader Regal FC Barcelona on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. UCAM Murcia will play against Gran Canaria 2014 (#14) in Las Palmas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
