Regular Season Round 41: Osaka Evessa - Yokohama BC 59-66

The game between second ranked Osaka Evessa (24-11) and sixth ranked Yokohama BC (18-18) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Osaka Evessa was defeated by Yokohama BC in a tough game in Osaka 59-66. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 21-13. But Osaka Evessa won second period 13-11. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Americans were the main players on the court. Forward Justin Burrell (235-88, college: St.John's) stepped up and scored 21 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and guard Draelon Burns (194-85, college: De Paul) chipped in 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Lynn Washington (200-78, college: Indiana) responded with 19 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) and center Wayne Marshall (211-86, college: Temple) scored 11 points and 5 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Yokohama BC maintains sixth place with 18-18 record. Osaka Evessa lost third consecutive game. They keep the second position with 11 games lost. Yokohama BC will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Osaka Evessa will play again at home against Yokohama BC and is hoping to win this game.
