The game in Rivas was also quite interesting. 4th placed Mann Filter (15-8) played at the court of fifth ranked Rivas Ecopolis (15-7). Rivas Ecopolis defeated Mann Filter 64-53 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Mann Filter. The game was mostly controlled by Rivas Ecopolis. Mann Filter managed to win fourth quarter 20-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Mann Filter to just 6 points in third quarter. They outrebounded Mann Filter 39-27 including 27 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was international point guard Anna Cruz (173-86, agency: Josep and Nicolas) who scored 20 points and 5 rebounds. American guard Essence Carson (183-86, college: Rutgers) chipped in 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Bulgarian forward Jaklin Zlatanova (190-88) produced 14 points and 9 rebounds and international guard Cristina Ouvina (174-90) added 10 points respectively for the guests. Mann Filter's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Rivas Ecopolis moved-up to fourth place. Loser Mann Filter dropped to the fifth position with eight games lost. Rivas Ecopolis will meet league's leader Ros Casares in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Mann Filter will play against Gran Canaria (#7) in Las Palmas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
