A1 top team - Olympiakos (19-1) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they beat eighth ranked KAOD (7-12) in Dramas 73-55. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of KAOD. The game was mostly controlled by Olympiakos. KAOD managed to win fourth quarter 18-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Olympiakos forced 19 KAOD turnovers. The best player for the winners was international guard Vassilis Spanoulis (193-82, agency: Beo Basket) who scored 9 points and 4 assists. FYR Macedonian-Bulgarian forward Pero Antic (210-82, agency: Beo Basket) chipped in 9 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Jeremy Hunt (196-83, college: Memphis) who recorded 5 points and 8 rebounds and Serbian center Dragan Ceranic (212-76, agency: Beo Basket) added 9 points respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Olympiakos have an impressive series of sixteen victories in a row. They maintain first place with 19-1 record. Newly promoted KAOD keeps the eighth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Aris. Olympiakos will meet at home Ikaros (#12) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. KAOD will play against Kavala (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
