Regular Season Round 22: Gescrap BB - FCB Regal 65-72

ACB top team - Regal FC Barcelona (19-3) added another victory to their record. This time they beat eighth ranked Gescrap BB (11-11) in Bilbao 72-65. The guests were already 16 points ahead at halftime and as many as 17 after three quarters before a 21-11 last quarter charge of Gescrap BB cut the lead to 72-65 at the end of the game. Regal FC Barcelona dominated on the defensive end, holding Gescrap BB to just 6 points in first quarter. Gescrap BB was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Slovenian power forward Erazem Lorbek (209-84, college: Michigan St.) notched 15 points to lead the effort and international guard Juan Carlos Navarro (192-80) supported him with 7 points and 6 assists. Even 22 points by Greek swingman Kostas Vasiliadis (200-84, agency: FCM) did not help to save the game for Gescrap BB. American guard Aaron Jackson (193-86, college: Duquesne) added 12 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Regal FC Barcelona have an impressive eight-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 19-3 record. Gescrap BB at the other side keeps the eighth place with 11 games lost.
