Regular Season Round 22: UKS Siemaszka - Tur Bielsk Pdl. 64-83

There was no surprise in Piekary where 11th ranked UKS Siemaszka (7-14) was outplayed by fourth ranked Tur Bielsk Pdl. (13-7) 83-64 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Tur Bielsk Pdl.. UKS Siemaszka was better in fourth quarter 24-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Tur Bielsk Pdl. forced 28 UKS Siemaszka turnovers and outrebounded them 46-33 including a 35-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Tur Bielsk Pdl. made 14 blocks. Forward Lukasz Kuczynski (194-85) had a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 22 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Arkadiusz Zabielski (195-84) chipped in 18 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks during the contest. At the losing side guard Lukasz Kasperzec (187-74) responded with 22 points and 5 rebounds and power forward Milosz Gruca (191-79) scored 9 points and 6 rebounds. UKS Siemaszka's coach Lukasz Kasperzec rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Tur Bielsk Pdl. moved-up to third place in Group C, which they share with Handlopex AZS. UKS Siemaszka lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eleventh position with 14 games lost. Tur Bielsk Pdl. will face Handlopex AZS (#3) in Rzeszow in the next round, which may be the game of the day. UKS Siemaszka will play on the road against MKS Limbach (#5) in Limanowa.
