Regular Season Round 22: Crocodiles - Tigers 67-64

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 6th ranked Melbourne Tigers' (11-15) road loss to fifth ranked Townsville Crocodiles (14-11) 64-67 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 20-10 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Townsville Crocodiles made 23-of-29 free shots (79.3 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Melbourne Tigers turnovers. The former international swingman Peter Crawford (193-79) fired 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American forward Elvin Mims (196-79, college: S.Mississippi) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Lucas Walker (203-84, college: St.Mary's, CA) produced 13 points and 6 rebounds and international power forward Cameron Tragardh (209-83, college: ORU) added 11 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Melbourne Tigers players scored in double figures. Melbourne Tigers' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Townsville Crocodiles moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Taipans. Melbourne Tigers at the other side keep the sixth position with 15 games lost. Townsville Crocodiles will face higher ranked Gold Coast Blaze (#3) in Broadbeach in the next round and it may be the game of the week.
