Regular Season Round 8: Dacin Tigers - KKL 56-60

The most important game in the last round was the one between second ranked Dacin Tigers (11-7) and sixth ranked KKL (6-11) on Sunday night. Dacin Tigers were defeated by KKL in a tough game 56-60. Dacin Tigers trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 24-17 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 56-60 at the end of the game. KKL dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Dacin Tigers' 24. They outrebounded Dacin Tigers 49-35 including 16 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Cheng Liu (192-90) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds and American center Elbert Fuqua (211-83, college: UTSA) who added 17 points and 17 rebounds during the contest. The former international forward Lei Tien (203-83) responded with 12 points and the former international guard Hao-Cheng Hsu (178-82) scored 6 points and 7 rebounds. Dacin Tigers' coach Ta-Tsung Chiu rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. KKL maintains sixth position with 6-11 record. Dacin Tigers at the other side keep the second place with seven games lost. They share the position with Yulon Luxgen. KKL are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Bank of Taiwan (#7) in the next round. Dacin Tigers will play against the league's leader Pure Youth (#1) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
