The game between eighth ranked B.C. Habikaa (7-10) and 9th ranked Elitzur Netanya (5-12) in Habikaa on Sunday ended with biggest points difference. B.C. Habikaa outscored guests from Netanya 79-56. The game without a history. B.C. Habikaa led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. B.C. Habikaa outrebounded Elitzur Netanya 44-28 including a 32-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a very good performance for swingman Dion Dowell (200-85, college: Houston) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Paul Delaney (188-86, college: UAB) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Guard Adrian Banks (191-86, college: NW Mississippi CC) answered with 26 points and forward Brian Asbury (200-86, college: Miami, FL) added 16 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Elitzur Netanya. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. B.C. Habikaa maintains eighth place with 7-10 record. Elitzur Netanya lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 12 games lost. B.C. Habikaa will face higher ranked Maccabi Ashdod (#7) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Elitzur Netanya will play against Bnei Hasharon in Hod Hasharon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
