Very predictable result when third ranked Lapuan Korikobrat (15-6) smashed at home 10th ranked Ura Basket (8-13) 117-80. The game without a history. Lapuan Korikobrat led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Lapuan Korikobrat dominated down low during the game scoring 78 of its points in the paint compared to Ura Basket's 38 and made 18-of-19 charity shots (94.7 percent) during the game. Lapuan Korikobrat forced 29 Ura Basket turnovers. It was a good game for American guard Walter Baxley (193-84, college: Mars Hill) who led his team to a victory with 33 points (!!!), 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). His fellow American import forward Eric Williams (198-85, college: Tarleton St.) contributed with 34 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds for the winners. Lapuan Korikobrat's coach Ville Turja felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Trinidad and Tobago power forward Eze Andrews (201-83, college: Savannah St., agency: Court Side) answered with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 13 rebounds and American guard Chaz Franklin (180-81, college: Roberts Wesleyan) added 20 points and 4 assists in the effort for Ura Basket. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Lapuan Korikobrat moved-up to second place, which they share with Tapiolan Honka. Ura Basket at the other side keeps the tenth position with 13 games lost. Lapuan Korikobrat's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked BC Jyvaskyla (#12) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Ura Basket will play against BC Nokia.
