There was a small surprise when tenth ranked Iwate Big Bulls (10-28) defeated on the road 7th ranked Miyazaki Shining Suns (17-21) 77-69 on Sunday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. The best player for the winners was Guyanese-American forward Gordon Klaiber (206-83, college: Fair Dickinson) who scored 23 points and 7 rebounds. American power forward LaShawn Malloy (209-84, college: New Orleans, agency: Pro Management Agency) chipped in 8 points and 15 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward O'Neal Mims (208-83, college: Angelo St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds and his fellow American import center Darryl Dora (206-85, college: Texas Tech) added 10 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Miyazaki Shining Suns' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Iwate Big Bulls maintains tenth position with 10-28 record. Loser Miyazaki Shining Suns keep the seventh place with 21 games lost. Iwate Big Bulls will face league's second-placed Osaka Evessa at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
