Seventh-ranked Hap.Petah Tikva (7-11) was very close to win a game against fifth ranked B.C. Habikaa (12-6) in Kiryat Ono. B.C. Habikaa managed to secure only three-point victory 77-74. However their fans expected easier game. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Hap.Petah Tikva won fourth quarter 20-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. B.C. Habikaa made 18-of-23 charity shots (78.3 percent) during the game. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Amanda Thompson (183-87, college: Oklahoma) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 17 rebounds and guard Cetera Degraffenreid (167-88, college: N.Carolina) who added 20 points, 8 assists and 5 steals during the contest. Four B.C. Habikaa players scored in double figures. Forward Kaili McLaren (188-88, college: Connecticut) responded with 26 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and swingman Sheri Lynette Sam (183-74, college: Vanderbilt, agency: Ronsport) scored 15 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. B.C. Habikaa moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Maccabi R.Hen. Hap.Petah Tikva lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with 11 games lost. They share it with Elitzur Netanya. B.C. Habikaa will play against Elitzur Netanya (#8) on the road in the next round. Hap.Petah Tikva will play against Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
