Regular Season Round 28: Chieti - Anagni 75-65

Date: March 5, 2012
Not a big story in a game when 6th ranked Anagni (10-16) was defeated on the road by third ranked Chieti (14-13) 75-65 on Monday. The game was mostly controlled by Chieti. Anagni was better in fourth quarter 21-4. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Chieti forced 23 Anagni turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Emanuele Rossi (208-82) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds and forward Roberto Feliciangeli (203-74) who added 15 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Four Chieti players scored in double figures. At the losing side naturalized Argentinian center Diego Corral (205-86, agency: Players Group) responded with 20 points and 8 rebounds and guard Valerio Circosta (188-87) scored 10 points, 8 assists and 5 steals. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Chieti moved-up to second place, which they share with Bari. Loser Anagni keeps the sixth position with 16 games lost. Chieti will face Ruvo (#6) in Ruvo di Puglia in the next round. Anagni will play at home against the league's leader Napoli.
