Rather expected game in Samokov where 5th ranked Serbian OKK Beograd (2-8) was defeated by third ranked Bulgarian Rilski Sportist (6-4) 87-70 on Tuesday. The game without a history. Rilski Sportist led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Serbian center Sasa Mijajlovic (211-80, college: Hutchinson CC) scored 15 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Serbian guard Branko Mirkovic (190-82, agency: Global Sports Plaza) chipped in 16 points, 5 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Five Rilski Sportist players scored in double figures. At the losing side center Milos Suzic (205-88) responded with 14 points and Stanoje Knezevic (202-89) scored 10 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Rilski Sportist moved-up to second place, which they share with Mornar Bar. OKK Beograd lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with eight games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
