The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Cocodrilos as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Cocodrilos smashed 3rd ranked Guaiqueries in Caracas 92-69. The game was mostly controlled by Cocodrilos. Guaiqueries was better in second period 23-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening.
