The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Cocodrilos as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Cocodrilos smashed 3rd ranked Guaiqueries in Caracas 92-69. The game was mostly controlled by Cocodrilos. Guaiqueries was better in second period 23-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Guaiqueries will play next round against Toros trying to get back on the winning streak. Cocodrilos will try to continue on its current victory against seventh ranked Panteras. It will be extra interesting game as Panteras is their local rival from Caracas.
