There was a change at the LigaA leadership position after last games. Round 29 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Obras (19-10). They were defeated by fourth ranked Libertad Sunchales (19-10) 79-61 on Wednesday night. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The game without a history. Libertad Sunchales led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Obras to just 7 points in second quarter. Libertad Sunchales shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. American forward Joshua Pittman (197-76, college: NC-Asheville, agency: Dream Team Management) stepped up and scored 25 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and guard Jonatan Treise (182-85) chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds. International power forward Juan Gutierrez (205-83) responded with 10 points and 5 rebounds and American forward Tony Washam (200-82, college: St.Vincent) scored 11 points and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Libertad Sunchales moved-up to second place, which they share with Obras and Lanus. Obras lost third consecutive game. There is only one round left in the Second Stage. And it will be most important game for Obras this season. They will face Sionista trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Libertad Sunchales will try to continue on its current victory against seventh ranked Atenas in Cordoba.
