Regular Season Round 37: Kauhajoki - Nilan Bisons 85-78

The game between second ranked Loimaan Korikonkarit (24-9) and fourth ranked Kauhajoen Karhu (21-13) was the most important one in the last round on Wednesday night. Loimaan Korikonkarit was defeated by Kauhajoen Karhu in a tough game in Kauhajoki 78-85. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Loimaan Korikonkarit. The hosts trailed by 7 points at the halftime before their 49-35 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Americans were the main players on the court. Forward Kelly Beidler (199-88, college: Mt.St.Mary's, agency: R.H.Consultancy) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 14 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks for the winners and point guard Clevin Hannah (180-87, college: Wichita St., agency: Court Side) chipped in 29 points and 4 assists. At the losing side guard Jeb Ivey (190-80, college: Portland St.) responded with 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his eight free throws) and guard Martin Zeno (196-85, college: Texas Tech) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds. Four Loimaan Korikonkarit players scored in double figures. Kauhajoen Karhu maintains fourth place with 21-13 record. Loimaan Korikonkarit at the other side keeps the second position with nine games lost. Kauhajoen Karhu are looking forward to face Torpan Pojat (#5) in Helsinki in the next round. Loimaan Korikonkarit will play at home against Namika Lahti and is hoping to win this game.
