Top ranked Regal FC Barcelona (19-4) recorded its fourth loss at the home court on Thursday night. Hosts were edged by tenth ranked Cajasol (12-11) 66-63. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Regal FC Barcelona. Regal FC Barcelona was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. It was a great shooting night for Cajasol especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 53.3 percentage. The best player for the winners was the former international center Guillem Rubio (202-82) who scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. American-Bulgarian guard Earl Calloway (191-83, college: Indiana) chipped in 8 points and 4 assists. American forward Pete Mickeal (199-78, college: Cincinnati) produced 10 points and 6 rebounds and swingman Xavier Rabaseda (198-89) added 12 points respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Cajasol moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 3 other teams. Defending champion Regal FC Barcelona still keeps top position with four games lost. Cajasol is looking forward to face FIATC Joventut (#13) in Badalona in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Regal FC Barcelona will play on the road against Gran Canaria 2014 (#14) in Las Palmas and is hoping to win this game.
