We should mention about the upset which took place in Venezia, where higher ranked Umana Venezia (13-8) lost at home to eleventh ranked Angelico Biella (11-12) 75-83 on Thursday. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Umana Venezia. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 43-33 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great shooting night for Angelico Biella especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 61.5 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Jacob Pullen (182-89, college: Kansas St.) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 7 assists and Spanish center Albert Miralles (208-82, agency: Interperformances) who added 15 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American-Bulgarian point guard Kee Kee Clark (180-84, college: St.Peter's) with 16 points and 5 assists and American forward Tamar Slay (204-80, college: Marshall) scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Umana Venezia's coach Andrea Mazzon rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Angelico Biella moved-up to tenth place. Loser Umana Venezia keeps the fifth position with eight games lost. Angelico Biella will meet at home Benetton Treviso (#13) in the next round. Umana Venezia will play against Fabi Shoes Montegranaro (#14) and hope to secure a win.
