There was a minor upset when 10th ranked Cajarural (8-16) was defeated on the road by twelfth ranked Hondarribia-Irun (6-18) 83-68 on Thursday. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 51-35 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Strangely Cajarural outrebounded Hondarribia-Irun 41-25 including 27 on the defensive glass. Cajarural was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Chilean center Tatiana Gomez (193-81, agency: Josep and Nicolas) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Sandra Ygueravide (172-84, agency: Josep and Nicolas) who added 14 points and 5 assists during the contest. Four Hondarribia-Irun players scored in double figures.
