Regular Season Round 35: Boras - Solna 96-93

Seventh-ranked Solna Vikings (17-18) gave a tough game to fourth ranked Boras Basket (21-14). Boras Basket managed to secure only three-point victory 96-93. However their fans expected easier game. It looked good early as Solna Vikings took an 2-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Boras Basket had a 28-17 second period charge getting the lead and Solna Vikings were not able to take back game control losing it eventually 93-96. Solna Vikings were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for Lebanese-American guard Omar Krayem (185-86, college: Cal.Baptist, agency: Pro Management Agency) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 11 assists. American forward Christopher McKnight (201-87, college: Akron) accounted for 21 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side. The former international forward Lesli Myrthil (200-77, college: Wagner) came up with 18 points and 6 rebounds and American swingman Jonte Flowers (196-85, college: Winona St., agency: Warren Sports International) added 17 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Solna Vikings in the defeat. Four Boras Basket and five Solna Vikings players scored in double figures. Boras Basket have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to third place. Solna Vikings lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with 18 games lost. Boras Basket will play against Uppsala Basket (#5) on the road in the next round. Solna Vikings will play against Eco Orebro and hope to get back on the winning track.
