Regular Season Round 9: Taiwan Mobile - Taiwan Beer 61-84

The game in supposed to be also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Taiwan Beer (11-8) played at the court of 5th ranked Taiwan Mobile (9-11). Taiwan Beer smashed Taiwan Mobile 84-61 on Friday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Taiwan Mobile. The game was mostly controlled by Taiwan Beer. Taiwan Mobile was better in second period 17-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Taiwan Beer dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Taiwan Mobile's 40. They outrebounded Taiwan Mobile 36-24 including a 31-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Trinidad and Tobago power forward Kibwe Trim (208-84, college: Sacred Heart) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds. The former international forward Shou-Cheng Ho (196-83) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Taiwan Beer players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Jing-Huan Chen (190-86) who recorded 18 points and 7 rebounds and international point guard Yi-Chieh Su (181-87) added 9 points and 4 assists respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Taiwan Beer moved-up to second place. Taiwan Mobile at the other side keeps the fifth position with 11 games lost. Taiwan Beer will face league's leader Pure Youth in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Taiwan Mobile will play against Yulon Luxgen (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
