Regular Season Round 9: Bank of Taiwan - KKL 64-74

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 7th ranked Bank of Taiwan's (3-17) loss to sixth ranked KKL (8-11) 64-74 on Friday. KKL trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 74-64. KKL outrebounded Bank of Taiwan 40-29 including 25 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was forward Cheng Liu (192-90) who scored 28 points and 5 rebounds. The former international center Wei-Fang Shang (196-78) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was international forward Shun-Hsiang Chen (190-85) who recorded 18 points and forward Wei-Sheng Hsu (198-85) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for KKL. They maintain sixth place with 8-11 record. Bank of Taiwan lost their ninth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 17 games lost. KKL will face league's leader Pure Youth in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Bank of Taiwan will play again against KKL (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
