Regular Season Round 25: Roche - Cognac 74-69

There was a small surprise when seventh ranked Roche (16-9) defeated at home 5th ranked Cognac (16-9) 74-69 on Friday. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 15-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 74-69. Forward Moustafa Diallo (200-86) stepped up and scored 20 points (made all of his seven free throws) for the winners and guard Benjamin Thomas (181-82) chipped in 17 points. At the losing side center Nicolas Kaczmarow (204-83) responded with 13 points and 7 rebounds and guard Mathieu Bigote (187-84) scored 13 points and 4 assists. Four Roche and five Cognac players scored in double figures. Roche moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Cognac and Blois. Roche will face Angers BC 49 (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Cognac will play against CFBB (#18) in Paris.
