The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked T71 (18-4) in Dudelange on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by third ranked Musel Pikes (13-9) 70-64. The guests trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 38-29 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Musel Pikes made 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of American-British forward Philip Perre (198-79, college: N.Alabama) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds. American power forward Brandon Gary (202-83, college: Hutchinson CC) contributed with 8 points, 18 rebounds and 7 blocks for the winners. The former international power forward Frank Muller (194-88, college: Cuesta JC) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and international guard Tom Schumacher (190-87, college: Cal.Baptist) added 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for T71. Four T71 players scored in double figures. Musel Pikes maintains third position in League with 13-9 record having five points less than leader T71. Defending champion T71 still keeps top place with four games lost. Musel Pikes are looking forward to face Amicale (#5) in Steinsel in the next round. T71 will play at home against Residence (#6) in Bereldange and is hoping to win this game.
