The game between third ranked Gold Coast Blaze (15-10) and fourth ranked Townsville Crocodiles (15-11) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Gold Coast Blaze was defeated by Townsville Crocodiles in Wulguru 76-88. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Gold Coast Blaze. Gold Coast Blaze was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. The former international center Luke Schenscher (216-82, college: Georgia Tech, agency: Priority Sports) orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points and 4 assists (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field). The former international swingman Peter Crawford (193-79) contributed with 20 points for the winners. Four Townsville Crocodiles players scored in double figures.
