Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Tbilisi: Armia (#1) and Samedicino-Academia (#7). Samedicino-Academia was crushed at home by 36 points 65-101 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. The game without a history. Armia led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Samedicino-Academia's 38. Armia forced 26 Samedicino-Academia turnovers. American point guard Ben Woodside (180-85, college: N.Dakota St., agency: Priority Sports) orchestrated the victory by scoring 31 points, 6 assists and 8 steals (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Swedish power forward Joakim Kjellbom (213-79, college: N.Arizona) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Armia players scored in double figures. Guard Mikheil Chochua (193-87) answered with 18 points and guard Irakli Gabisonia (195-89) added 14 points in the effort for Samedicino-Academia. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Armia (15-0) have an impressive series of fifteen victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with a perfect record of 15 victories in a row. Samedicino-Academia at the other side keeps the seventh position with ten games lost. Armia's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tbilisi STU.
